Experience True Freedom in Christ
“As you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.” Jesus, Matthew 10:7-8Talk with someoneLearn more
Maybe you’ve said the sinner’s prayer. Maybe you were baptized, or have sat in church for years. And maybe the same fears, cravings, hatred, or shame still follow you home. Or maybe you keep running into an unnatural, overwhelming opposition to the life God has for you: spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, or sexually.
What if Jesus has more for you than this?
The war is won. The battles are still being fought.
At the cross Jesus defeated sin, death, and the devil. Nothing can undo it.
“To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8
Our enemy is Satan, the thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and the demons (evil spirits) who serve him. He is defeated but not idle. He still deceives, accuses, and torments wherever he is given room.
“For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers…” Ephesians 6:12
Most of us were never told we are in a war. We pray general prayers for forgiveness and blessing, or prayers to get us out of trouble, while the enemy works on unopposed. It is like being sent onto a battlefield with no armor and no weapon, crying out for our Commander to come save us, when He has already equipped us to stand and fight (Ephesians 6:11).
Salvation is the starting point, not the destination
Salvation is the greatest gift Jesus gives. It is also the beginning of the narrow path (Matthew 7:14): becoming like Him, being made whole, and learning to walk in the freedom He paid for.
Saved in a moment, for all eternity. Your spirit is safe in Jesus forever. Your heart, soul, and body are still vulnerable while you are here, and that is where the battles are fought. Through it all, “he who began a good work in you will complete it” (Philippians 1:6).
Jesus gave us His authority
Jesus did not only pray for people. He spoke with authority. He cast out demons with a word and commanded sick bodies to be healed (Matthew 8:16; Mark 2:11). Then He gave that same authority to those who follow Him.
“Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you.” Luke 10:19
Deliverance is Jesus working through His chosen elect to set people free, heal the sick, and speak into our souls even today, all to the glory of God the Father. We pray, and we also command evil spirits to leave and bodies to be healed, in Jesus’ name. We invite the Holy Spirit to fill us, guide us, and reveal our spiritual gifts. Every deliverance minister is also a recipient of deliverance ministry.
Ask yourself
- Do the same struggles keep returning no matter how much I pray?
- Do fear, hatred, shame, or cravings seem to control my decisions?
- Do I know God loves me, yet still feel stuck?
- Is my family being torn apart generation after generation?
- Is there someone I have never truly forgiven?
- Do I have tormenting thoughts that don’t seem to be my own?
- Do thoughts of my sins draw me to God, or drive me away in shame?
- Have I wondered if following Jesus is meant to be more than this?
Maybe this is the puzzle piece you have been missing.
“If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36
